Indias economical motor Mumbai is the country’s biggest hope for the Future. In no other town modern India is celebrated as much as here. Mumbai is a place where modern middleclass enjoys risotto whilst finger-flipping on their iphones right next to beggars waiting for the risotto leftovers at the restaurants backdoor. “Mumbai is at the stage of superficial modernization. Its middle class lives a modern lifestyle with materialistic consumption but it still suffers from a lack of values like tolerance, equal rights or democracy.” says Akash Kapur, India columnist for the International Herald Tribune.
