Do you live near the woods? Besides walking the dog, I guess you rarely think of feeling it for real. Right?
“Shinrin Yoku” – forest bathing may help you to change it for good. Forest bathing is a beautiful japanese practice of immersing oneself in a natural forest environment in order to promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
The idea behind forest bathing is to engage all five senses while being present in the forest. This includes observing the sights, listening to the sounds, feeling the textures, breathing in the scents, and sometimes even tasting elements of the forest.
The practice is often done at a slow, deliberate pace, allowing individuals to fully absorb their surroundings and reduce stress by disconnecting from the demands of daily life.
The series was shot for Brandenburg magazine.
